Room Lottery Process and Meal Plan Selection

NOTE: Students who signed up for the Room Lottery will need to log in their BISON account to select a room/suite and meal plan.  This can be done anywhere the students would like, but not before the students' assigned time slot. 

Below is a list of instructions to assist you/your group with completing your Room Lottery online:

(After you receive an e-mail from the Housing Operations Manager on Thursday, April 27, 2017 with your assigned date and time, please follow these instructions.)

  1. Log into your account at bison.gallaudet.edu
  2. Go to Self-Service
  3. Go to View My Lottery Numbers
  4. Click on "Lottery Is Available" under the Lottery Status field
  5. Pick a room/suite
  6. Type in each individual's name and ID number
    • IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR GROUP OF 2:
      • Students who will live in the room/suite will choose a room on the list. Note: each student must complete the Meal Plan Selection after choosing a room/suite.
    • IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR GROUP OF 4:
      • For suites with rooms A and B, please be sure to be CLEAR on who will be assigned to room A and room B in Carlin, Clerc, and LLRH6.  Students who will live in room A will choose a room on the list.  Students who will live in room B will do the same. Students who live in room A cannot choose a room for students who live in room B and vice versa. Note: each student must complete the Meal Plan Selection after choosing a room/suite.
      • For Carlin with rooms A/B/C in a suite, then #1 and #2 is for room A, #3 is for room B, and #4 is for room C. Students who will live in room A will choose a room on the list. Students who will live in room B and C will choose a room individually.  Students who live in room A cannot choose a room for students who live in room B or C and vice versa. Note: each student must complete the Meal Plan Selection after choosing a room/suite.
  7. The student who selects a room/suite will automatically select a meal plan; the roommate will need to log in to select a meal plan.
  8. Click on "SUBMIT" when you are done.
  9. You are done!

MEAL PLAN SELECTION: If you have not chosen a meal plan during the Room Lottery, you will be required to choose one by June 30, 2017 or the 190 block meal plan will be automatically assigned to you.

Below is a list of instructions to assist you with selecting your Meal Plan online:

  1. Log into your account at bison.gallaudet.edu
  2. Go to Self-Service
  3. Go to Residence Life
  4. Click on "Campus" and select Main Campus
  5. Click on "Meal Plan Selection" and select a meal plan
  6. Click on "SAVE MEAL PLAN" when you are done
  7. You are done!

NOTE: To view your room assignment and meal plan selection, go to View My Contracts via Self-Service on BISON and choose the preferred term.

DISCLAIMER

Students who have not participated in the Room Lottery process or missed the application deadline will be placed on the waiting list. The Housing Operations Manager reserves the right to assign students to vacant spaces.

Students who cancel the room assignment AFTER choosing their rooms will automatically be charged the $500.00 cancellation fee.
