Short Biography

A native of northern Michigan. After obtaining her Bachelor's from Gallaudet, she was a teacher for young deaf children in St. Louis, Missouri and Michigan. Before returning to Gallaudet for her graduate study, she was an instructor of American Sign Language (ASL) at the Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant.

Known as "Lizzy", she enjoys hiking, walking her dog, watching televisions and movies, reading books, spending time with her boyfriend and close friends, and finally, advocating for both American Sign Language and pit bulls.
