Description:  Silent Steps is a group of Deaf performers enrolled in DLS-CSB's School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies.  What started out as a dance workshop to enhance the self-esteem of Deaf students has blossomed into a performing arts group that shows the world that Deaf persons are not limited by their inability to hear and they can succeed in whatever they put their mind into doing.  Through their movement and dance and with the creativity of their Deaf choreographer, Myra Medrana, they are able to advocate about the Deaf language, culture, and identity and prove that YES the Deaf CAN.

Has annually enrollee of 30-40 Deaf students who fully participate in the school's academic and extra-curricular activities, sports and in the student government.  The PDL create and promote an effective learning environment, provide resource and academic support to prepare each student to function successfully and independently as an adult in society upon graduation.  Deaf students have the opportunity in a mainstreamed system where they are constantly in an interaction with their hearing peers and attends a special classes in Reading and Filipino only for the Deaf.  It is staffed with 7 fully Filipino Sign Language Interpreters and a Guidance Counselor who is Hard-of-Hearing.  Teachers and staff are regularly trained to handle deaf students and are in the process of being certified in sign language with the goal of responding effectively to Deaf students.
