Short Biography

Dr. Elizabeth A. Moore has been involved in the social work community since 1981. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses since 1994. She is a member of National Association of Deans and Directors of Schools of Social Work, she currently serves on the Metropolitan Washington Schools of Social Work Policy Practice Forum Steering Committee, and she previously served on the Council on Social Work Education's Council on Disability and Persons with Disabilities. Dr. Moore served two terms on Virginia State Department for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons Advisory Board. Her research focuses primarily on the effects of intersecting dimensions of diversity on the experiences of deaf and hard of hearing populations.
