Molecular Genetics Laboratory

The $1.2 million Molecular Genetics Laboratory sponsors undergraduate research alongside our four deaf faculty researchers. Our foremost goal is to provide experiential learning opportunities for our students. By performing real science, and creating publishable results, our students develop the cutting-edge technical and critical-thinking skills they need to compete with top graduates from other universities.

The Molecular Genetics Laboratory is distinct from our Genetics Program, which provides genetic counseling services to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

The Molecular Genetics laboratory offers undergraduate research experience during the school year for course credit and paid summer internship opportunities.  If you are interested in any of these projects, contact Dr. Derek Braun or one of the faculty in the laboratory.
