JumpStart: Bachelor of Arts in Interpretation

What is JumpStart: Bachelor of Arts in Interpretation (BAI) Track?

Are you interested in becoming an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter but need a refresher to improve your skills? Students interested in attending the Bachelor of Arts in Interpretation (BAI) program must receive a score of XX on the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) in order to be admitted to the program. JumpStart: BAI is an opportunity for entering BAI students to improve their ASL skills in order to achieve a better score on the ASLPI. Not only will students immerse themselves in ASL; they will meet other BAI students, learn more about Deaf culture and Gallaudet University, and explore Washington, D.C. For more information, please contact Keith Cagle, BAI Program Coordinator, at keith.cagle@gallaudet.edu
