After you are admitted
How will you know that you have been accepted to Gallaudet University?
First, you will receive an email message informing you that you are being offered admission. Within a few days, you will receive an official acceptance letter in the mail.
Celebrate! You have worked hard to earn acceptance to Gallaudet University -- the world's only liberal arts university for students who are deaf and hard of hearing.
Your acceptance letter will come with an Intent to Enroll form and information about life at Gallaudet. It includes a description of housing options on our beautiful campus, located in the heart of Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. Gallaudet's location provides endless opportunities for internships and cultural enrichment that, combined with our strong academic programs, will enhance your preparation for a successful future.
In order to reserve your space in the entering class, you should submit the Intent to Enroll form -- either the print copy in your acceptance packet or the online version at http://tinyurl.com/enrollGU -- with the non-refundable US$200 enrollment fee as soon as possible.
You also should work closely with your Admissions Counselor and the Office of International Student Services to obtain and prepare all needed documents from your country so that you can be issued a student visa.
Once you have submitted your Intent to Enroll form and your non-refundable US$200 enrollment fee, we will send you a second packet with more information.
