Information Technology

Are you interested in how computer systems can provide aid to a company, non-profit, or governmental organization in defining and achieving its goals? As an Information Technology (IT) major, you will learn to help an organization determine how information and technology processes can provide a foundation for their business organization. You will frequently serve as a bridge between the technical and management communities within an organization.

In the information technology (IT) major you will develop the technical skills and organizational insights required to analyze, design, implement, and administer information systems. Courses in this major require extensive hands-on projects, teamwork, and the use of high-end computer technology. Our classroom experiences will give you the fundamentals of information technology and then let you be creative with the concentration of your choice.

You can select from:

  • network/database/web
  • medical informatics
Regardless of your focus, you'll acquire strong technical and communication skills and experience potential careers during your two required internships.

The Department of Business programs are accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. You'll be certain to receive the same quality standard as at other business schools.
