In Washington, D.C. we have access to a variety of different ways to get around the city. The University is close to three major airports and Amtrak's Union Station is only one mile away. D.C.'s Metro Rail system is considered one of the safest and most user-friendly systems in the country and recently a new station opened on the red line about five blocks from the campus.
The University operates a free shuttle between the campus and the two closest metro stations for students, faculty, staff and visitors with a Visitors Pass. Passes may be obtained from the Transportation Department, transportation@gallaudet.edu.
