Programs for Children and Teenagers
Gallaudet has a lot to offer for deaf and hard of hearing kids of any age. The Clerc Center offers education opportunities through the Kendall Demonstration Elementary School (KDES) and the Model Secondary School for the Deaf (MSSD). In addition to those programs, the Clerc Center also offers a pre-school day-care program for deaf, hard of hearing and hearing children at the Child Development Center (CDC).
Various other summer programs for deaf and hard of hearing children are offered by the University and the Clerc Center.
The Academic Bowl is a high school competition including students from state schools for the deaf and other schools with programs for deaf and hard of students from around the country.
