Support Historical Preservation & Research
Among the many projects happening at Gallaudet, there are some specifically focusing on research and the preservation of deaf history in the United States.
PBS, in collaboration with Gallaudet, recently produced a two-hour documentary exploring nearly 200 years of deaf life in America. The documentary was first aired on national television on PBS stations across the country on March 21, and at special screenings in select cities. "Through Deaf Eyes" is a production of WETA Washington, D.C. and Florentine Films/Hott Productions, Inc. in association with Gallaudet University.
The University Archives contributed heavily to this production, offering photographs, films and historic research. Our new VideoLibrary will be including clips from the film interviews over the next several months. Preservation and presentation of Deaf history requires financial support. Your gift to any of the funds below will make a difference.
