In addition to our traditional Undergraduate and Graduate school offerings there are a lot of other exciting learning opportunities at Gallaudet University.
College of Professional Studies and Outreach (CPSO)
CPSO offers an array of on-campus, online and off-campus extension classes on American Sign Language, Computer Applications, Interpreter Training, Language and Culture, Education, Genetics, Social Work, Writing, and much more. Many courses offer a choice of credit types including undergraduate, graduate, or professional studies/non-degree credit. Some courses lead to earning professional certificates.
Other CPSO offerings:
- Deaf Senior Citizen Activities - Deaf senior citizens can take a ride on a scenic railroad, try their luck at the casinos or enjoy wine and a ride in a hot air balloon this fall.
- GU Gathering - Want to learn yoga, a new craft, about cross-country biking or want to teach a workshop on something that you're interested in?

Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center
- The office of Training & Professional Development has workshops and programs for professionals working with deaf and hard of hearing children and their families. They also offer American Sign Language learning opportunities for parents and families.
