Hometown Media Program

Submit your information for a hometown media release

Gallaudet University believes in recognizing and celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of our students, faculty, and staff. We strive to accomplish this for our students through our Hometown Media program. Press releases are sent to students' hometown newspapers to highlight a variety of accomplishments, such as honors and scholarships, campus involvement, volunteer efforts, student research, and especially, graduation.

If you would like to submit information about a recent accomplishment to the Office of Public Relations, please click on the link to the submission form.

Please note: The Office of Public Relations reserves the right to review the information and determine whether or not a press release will be written and distributed. Also, news organzations make independent editoral judgments on what news items to publish and not everything will be run on a specific date, depending on the news cycle. Major publications in large metro areas are sometimes less likely to have space to run news stories of this nature.

International students: Due the nature of our Hometown Media program, our system is currently only configured for students whom are U.S. residents. We are working on ways to expand our system to ensure the delivery of notifications to international media outlets and apologize for any inconvenience.

If you have any questions about the Hometown Media program please contact Erin Casler or call 202-651-5050.
