Department of Linguistics

The grammatical structure and use of ASL (American Sign Language) and other signed languages are investigated by faculty and students at Gallaudet University's Department of Linguistics. ASL is the language of instruction. Programs are offered at the graduate level for deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing students.

The Department of Psychology at Gallaudet University offers undergraduate and graduate programs including Clinical Psychology and School Psychology. Our programs offers students training in work with deaf and hard of hearing as well as hearing individuals.

Department of Science, Technology, and Math

Gallaudet is dedicated to increasing the number of deaf and hard of hearing professionals in science and technology fields. Students in the Department of Science, Technology and Mathematics can choose our Pre-Medicine Program, apply for scholarships funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation or work at off-campus internships through collaborations with programs at Duke University, Tufts University and James Madison University.
