April 8, 2014 will be exactly 150 years to the day that President Abraham Lincoln signed our Charter. To celebrate the occasion campus departments and student groups will host exhibits and presentations, the Gallaudet University Museum will open Gallaudet at 150 and Beyond, the Deaf Studies Digital Journal will launch a special issue Gallaudet at 150: The Past, Present and Future, a U.S. Postal Service Pictorial Postmark Cancellation in honor of the Gallaudet University Sesquicentennial will be available, Gallaudet Press will release The History of Gallaudet University: 150 Years of a Deaf American Institution, and an all campus photo will be taken to record the day.
