During Reunion Week the Gallaudet Shuttle will operate on its regular schedule including late night (Friday and Saturday) and weekend service. The shuttle drops off and picks up on campus at the circle in front of Benson Hall and in front of the Kellogg Conference Hotel (it also stops at MSSD and KDES). The shuttle goes off campus to the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro station (red line) and to Union Station with access to the Metro (red line), Amtrak, local commuter trains (MARC and VRE), bus transportation, and various tour bus services.
The pick-up location at NoMa-Gallaudet Metro station is at the corner of M Street and 2nd Street, NE. When leaving the station via the subway, exit on the M Street side and take a left and the stop is at the traffic light on M Street.
The pick-up location at Union Station is on the first level of the parking garage. From inside Union Station, take the escalator (close to Amtrak Gate D) to the mezzanine level. Go through the glass sliding doors towards the garage and go up escalator/stairs to the bus deck level. Follow the signs to the Gallaudet stop (towards the left). Be very careful to walk in the pedestrian walkways, follow the instructions of the traffic monitors, and be alert for large busses and other vehicles.
All of the shuttles are wheelchair accessible.
The shuttle is a free service. No food and drink are allowed. Only service animals are permitted on the shuttle.
Visit the transportation department website for more information about the Gallaudet Shuttle.
