Greetings, and congratulations on completing the Spring 2020 semester! We know that it was incredibly challenging in many ways and commend you for your creativity, tenacity, and fortitude in rising to this challenge.

This summer Gallaudet University is providing training for all faculty who will be teaching in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. These courses are designed for all faculty (tenured, tenure-track, pre-tenure track, non-tenure track, adjuncts, and staff who teach students) to build and enhance their knowledge and understanding in several areas of teaching. The training is not required. We strongly encourage you to complete the training to ensure high quality online and remote instruction.

The Professional Studies course PST 500 is a digital teaching and learning course designed for Gallaudet University faculty. It has 4 components:

1) Quality Matters (APPQMR or PRC)
2) Bilingual Approaches Seminar (1 and 2)
3) Culturally-Responsive, Trauma-Informed Teaching
4) Blackboard Ultra (new LMS)

On Tuesday, May 19, the PST 500 course will be available in Blackboard under Courses. All four components will have registration information in PST 500.
