Charge

“The committee was established February 28, 2008 as a result of Provost’s concerns over problems with the current Merit Increase award system as well as a need for a more objective faculty evaluation system. The Provost asked the committee to come up with a plan to address the above issues; the end result should be a plan incorporating both a fair and equitable merit increase system and a plan that will help ensure pay parity.

Authority

This Committee has the following authority:

  • Recommends to Faculty Welfare Committee for amending the Faculty Guidelines regarding faculty evaluation and merit increase
  • Advises Faculty Committee on Salaries and Benefits
  • Communicates with the Provost on progress in its tasks
