Updated July 2016

The Gallaudet University Marketing (GUM) group formed in 1993 upon the belief in the importance of being good ambassadors for the university by informing its constituents and the public at large of its invaluable services, programs, products, and publications. Upon this conviction, the 17 all-volunteer GUM, plus the university’s regional centers via email, unite in cohesive efforts to support University departments and offices in enhancing awareness of Gallaudet activities; to coordinate University attendance at conventions and exhibits to present in concert a common, positive image; to serve as a core “think tank” for crafting practical initiatives to market and promote the University; to share resources and information to improve marketing effectiveness while also defraying costs.
