Gallaudet University and the Office of Alumni Relations greatly values the milestones of our alumni. As such, we welcome alumni news, including alumni achievements, personal milestones, obituaries, and chapter events for our records and publications. We encourage you to share these moments with us.
We have three different submission categories:
Chapter NewsWe invite GUAA Chapters who have hosted or are planning upcoming events to share their news here.
Death NoticesFamilies, friends, and colleagues wanting to share information on the passing of an alumni can post obituaries here. Additional verification may be required prior to publication.
MilestonesAlumni wanting to share personal milestones such as births, weddings, or achievements such as (but not limited to) a job promotion, an award recognition, a research, book publication, or the completion of an advanced degree from another institution can post their announcement here.
Submissions may be used in the following publications:
Gallaudet Today: The MagazineGUAA members receive the magazine, containing the "Class News and Notes" section used to present alumni milestones and obituaries, twice a year (fall and spring).
Gallaudet Today: The NewsletterAll alumni receive the newsletter, containing the "Chapter Exchange" section used to share news of GUAA chapters, twice a year (summer and winter).
Gallaudet University alumni e-newsletterThe monthly e-newsletter, sent out electronically, includes news and announcements related to GUAA and the Gallaudet alumni community. The e-newsletter is available to anyone.
Gallaudet University reserves the right to determine if and when submissions are published, along with the right to edit submissions.
