California Association of the Deaf was founded in 1906 and later on 1914, considered as incorporated. CAD is one of the organizations under National Association of the Deaf (NAD).Scope and ContentThe East Bay Chapter collection contains one box with letters, news information, consumers, constitutions, flowchart of officers, donates, financial reports, and notes of meetings. The collection, which consists of approximately 50 papers, dated from 1964 to 1987.
