As a Gallaudet University student, I had many opportunities to lead and to excel. I took what I learned in my business and accounting classes and applied it to my work with student organizations. I networked extensively with students, faculty, and staff, and this led to the job I hold now. At USAID, I am responsible for auditing the activities of the inter-American Foundation and the U.S. African Development Foundation, and I travel extensively. I also chair the agency’s Employees with Disabilities board. None of this would have been possible without the solid education I received at Gallaudet.
