Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees meets on campus three times a year and has the authority to make University-wide policy decisions. The Board provides leadership for the University's strategic initiatives and assures the proper governance and management of the University.

The Board has 18 trustees, for which composition is required in its bylaws to have a deaf majority, in addition to three Congressional appointees. Trustees actively support advancement activities by working with the university administration to set fundraising targets, approve campaign priorities, and personally support fundraising initiatives through identification of prospects, monetary or in-kind donations, and service.

All official contacts with the Board of Trustees must go through the Office of the President in College Hall.
