Robersy Delgado, a Cuban-born immigrant, moved to Miami, Florida with his family when he was just 11 years old. His parents wanted him and his younger brother to receive a good education in the United States, and Delgado was the first in his family to enroll in college and attended Gallaudet University. Delgado graduated in August 2020 after he completed his first-ever virtual internship at the prestigious Procter and Gamble corporation. He was offered a full-time position immediately after his internship in the IT division.
Nicholas Hohrman, a junior from Minnesota who is majoring in Biology, is currently doing an in-person internship at the Loggerhead MarineLife Center (LMC) in Juno Beach, Florida, where he works with the sea turtle population. His project utilizes cutting-edge technology to get an in-depth look into marine conservation, including how to identify tracks according to species, locate sea turtle egg chambers, mark nests, and conduct nest excavations.
Joseline Garcia is a Latina, single mother with two children (ages 12 and 6). She graduated in May of 2021 and accepted a full-time IT position as a Technology Development Analyst at PNC headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Garcia received this opportunity because of the outstanding effort she put into attending programs and being a leader to her peers. She attended PNC’s first-ever virtual Summer Intern Program in 2020 and was also one of our Disability:IN NextGen Leaders last year (2019-2020).
Jacob Adams joined Ernst and Young as a full-time Accounting hire in Vienna, VA. Adams was recruited after he participated in the 2nd Annual IT Summit event at Gallaudet University. He is the second Gallaudet graduate to work for the company.
Patricia “Brynn” Schmidt did accounting graduate school for one year at UT Austin following graduation from Gallaudet and joined in Philadelphia, PA.
Jad Gore an RMI graduate, Jad recently studied on his own and passed the New York State insurance broker license exam. Soon after Jad was offered a position of Concierge Client Services at Arthur J Gallagher in New York City. Jad wanted to be a broker. He studied hard, made a plan, and followed his dream. He’s now a New York City broker with one of the world’s largest and most prestigious insurance firms.
