The search for the Vice President of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, known as the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), is still ongoing. We are committed to building a stronger pool of candidates for this position. The CDO will be a part of the Executive Team which leads Gallaudet and will be further supported by the Diversity Strategy Team, which is made up of representatives from across the campus including students, faculty, staff, and the Clerc Center, our birth to 12th grade program on campus.

The Diversity Strategy Team will provide leadership and ideas that will help prepare the new Chief Diversity Officer. This position is crucial to our continued evolution as an institution of higher education. President Cordano is committed to ensuring that this work be integrated throughout our institution and community. She is also committed to ensuring that the CDO, once selected, has all the appropriate support and resources in place to be successful.
