As a result of Gallaudet's closure due to the  COVID-19 pandemic, Counseling and Psychological Services is closed on-campus. Currently, we are  providing emergency services for all students remotely.  If you are in need of crisis intervention services, please contact CAPS during our business hours Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm. It means you can reach out to CAPS when you are feeling conflicted, confused, overwhelmed, and if you are not feeling safe or are a danger to yourself. If you need us, go ahead and contact us at CAPS@gallaudet.edu or call VP at 202-250-2300 or Voice 202-651-6080. If CAPS is closed, you can email DPS at DPS@gallaudet.edu or you can call or text 202-651-5555. Another option would be the Crisis Text Line. You can contact them during any crisis. The volunteers have training on working with deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Just text 741741 and enter DHOH. Remember, we are here for you and we want to provide support.
