Deaf Health Communication and Quality of Life Center

The center's mission is to conduct research linking accessibility to health outcomes among individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. The center's goals are to:

  1. design and evaluate existing outcomes and intervention projects
  2. share results to the deaf/hh community and research community and
  3. engage in community partnership, training and education.

Our researchers at Deaf Health-QoL are involved in a wide range of biobehavioral and applied research projects. In addition, our faculty, students and community members - all from a variety of academic backgrounds - contribute to the Center. Go to to learn more about our projects.
