The nationally and internationally known artists and scholars in Gallaudet's Department of Art, Communication and Theatre create a stimulating environment where ideas flourish. Programs prepare students to be creative problem-solvers, dynamic leaders, effective communicators and innovative artists effecting positive social change.
Faculty focus on collaboration, innovation and the use of American Sign Language and English to maximize students' potential. Department resources and research highlight Gallaudet's commitment to barrier-free communication through visucentric technology and design.
