The Department of Interpretation and Translation doctoral program at Gallaudet University includes four research internship courses. In these courses, students are paired with established research scholars to work collaboratively on specific interpreting and translation studies. Working alongside scholars, both within the Department of Interpretation and Translation and at other universities, provides opportunities for students to learn more about research methodology, data collection, analysis, and publication. The internship courses are intended to guide students in achieving a greater level of understanding that can be applied to their own research projects. The following scholars have generously contributed to the development of future scholars within the Department of Interpretation and Translation.
