Learn to Lead
In Gallaudet's recreation and sports programming major, you will learn how to plan and evaluate recreation and sport programs and operate facilities. You will take courses in leadership, management and risk analysis. You will also learn how recreation is used as a therapeutic technique and how to adapt activities to accommodate people with disabilities.
Students benefit from an experienced faculty and the opportunities available through our NCAA Division III varsity sports teams.
Graduates have gone on to careers as activities coordinators, camp directors and fitness trainers. Or expand your career options with our athletic coaching minor, which has prepared graduates for positions in mainstream and deaf schools, colleges and universities.
