Recent graduates from our department frequently seek and apply for a one or two-year fellowship experience, informally termed a "post-bac." Post-bac fellowships provide recent graduates with additional laboratory and research training as well as contact with and advice from professionals who are already successful in the field that the recent graduate is considering. Post-bacs often use this year to prepare their applications for graduate or medical school.
Recent examples of graduates who have done post-bac programs and talk about their experiences on video include Julia Velasquez and Patrick Conway '07, Vladimir Pavlyukovets '99, and Larry Pearce '95.
