IT Laptop Requirement 

Gallaudet University Information Technology program requires students to have a laptop that can run multiple operating systems and applications for IT major required courses. IT program recommends MacBook Pro with 16 GB of RAM and 500 GB HD, which supports MacOS, Windows and Linux Operating Systems. 

VMWare Academic Software Center 

VMWare Software center is a place for students and faculty in the Department of Science, Technology & Mathematics to download and install VMWare software on their personally-owned computers and/or institutionally-owned computers. It requires  Gallaudet account and the verification of the STM department before you can download VMWare products.

Microsoft Academic Software Center 

Azure Dev Tools for Teaching is a place for students and faculty in the Department of Science, Technology & Mathematics to download and install Microsoft software on their personally-owned computers and/or institutionally-owned computers. Student and faculty can access software, free training/learning materials and the Azure cloud platform. It requires the verification of Gallaudet account before you can download Microsoft software.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

IT Certification

Gallaudet is an authorized Certiport testing center. We currently offer certifications in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
