Established in 1864, Gallaudet University is the world’s only liberal arts university in which all programs and services are designed to accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students.
Gallaudet recently hosted the second annual ColorFest, a weekend-long conference for deaf and hard of hearing students in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and straight communities.
The pledge of $100,000 will create the S. Barry and Judith Lipin Endowed Scholarship Fund, which will award financial aid assistance to students who demonstrate academic and personal excellence.
Gallaudet University is a federally chartered private and premier university for the deaf and hard of hearing since 1864.
