Joining the Department of History in 1999, Brian H. Greenwald was one of two first President's Fellows at Gallaudet. Currently, Dr. Greenwald is Professor of History and Director of the
. He is coeditor of In Our Own Hands: Essays in Deaf History, 1780-1970 and A Fair Chance in the Race of Life: The Role of Gallaudet University in Deaf History. He also has published chapters in The Deaf History Reader and Genetics, Disability, and Deafness. He is working on a book about the role of Alexander Graham Bell and the American Eugenics movement.
