Coordinator of Administrative Services
Vanessa joined Gallaudet University in 1987. Her first position was with the College for Continuing Education. Because she had no prior knowledge of American Sign Language or Deaf culture, her experience with Deaf President Now in March 1988 was very eye-opening and educational. She has worked for several campus units over the years, culminating in her current role as Coordinator of Administrative Services in the Division of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management. She is a certified special event coordinator, personal trainer, and nutrition specialist. She is also certified in yoga, and is a licensed Zumba instructor. Vanessa enjoys exercising, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. Something she says all the time is T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More), and also Team Work Makes the Dream Work.
