Requests for interpreting services may be submitted online using our Interpreter Request Form Gallaudet Interpreting Service (GIS) primarily serves Gallaudet University and the DC Metro Area.
Prior to requesting services, please make sure you are familiar with our policies and have a copy of our current rates and cancellation information. Copies may be obtained by contacting GIS at (202) 651-5199 or by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
Students requesting interpreting services should contact the department or unit sponsoring the event. Request an Interpreter
ALL REQUEST FORMS RECEIVED WILL BE PROCESSED AS CONTRACTS FOR SERVICE. PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A REQUEST FORM.
PROCESS: Once your request is received, GIS will review it and will contact you if additional information is needed. Your request will then be entered into our database and you will receive an e-mail confirmation with a Request Number for reference. When an interpreter is assigned, you will receive another e-mail confirmation with the interpreter's name(s).
CANCELLATIONS: Clients will be billed in full for assignments not canceled three full business days in advance of the start of the assignment. Cancellation of conferences or on-going classes or assignments may require more notice in order to be canceled without charge. Contact GIS for details. All cancellations must be made in writing via email.
