Cybersecurity is defined as "measures taken to protect a computer or computer system (as on the Internet) against unauthorized access or attack." Here you will find the latest information related to Gallaudet account passwords, Google's 2-step verification, phishing alerts, network violations, safe computing tips and more.
All Gallaudet Students are required to have Google's 2-Step Verification set up on their Gallaudet email account. 2-step verification adds an extra layer of security to the single layer provided by your password. Once enabled, you will be asked to enter a code that will be sent via SMS or voice message when attempting to access your email account and associated Google services (Drive, Calendar, Sites, etc.).
Gallaudet faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to use 2-step verification with their Gallaudet Gmail accounts also. Any faculty or staff whose account is compromised will be automatically required to enrolled in 2-step verification.
