WASHINGTON, D.C. – United States of America President Barack Obama announced his Presidential Delegation to attend the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Summer Games in London, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on August 12, 2012. Gallaudet University baseball head coach Curtis Pride is one of the six traveling to London on behalf of the United States of America.
Pride is a member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. The Presidential Delegation will view several Olympic events while in London including the men’s and women’s basketball gold medal games.
“I am both excited and honored to be a member of the Presidential Delegation for the Closing Ceremony at the 2012 London Olympics,” said Pride. “It is a once in a lifetime experience that I will always treasure. I look forward to cheering on the USA Olympians at the weekend events.”
The 2012 Olympic Summer Games Closing Ceremony will air on your local NBC affiliate at 7 p.m. (EST) on Sunday, August 12. Please check your local listings for your channel and time.
