Flexible Work Arrangements

Gallaudet University is committed to supporting employees in developing a work-life balance by supporting the use of flexible work arrangements. Employees often face the demands of juggling work, family, and and life-related issues. Flexible work arrangements will provide employees with increased flexibility in their work schedules while allowing Gallaudet to maintain a progressive and product work environment.

The link to A&O Policy 4.05: Hours of Work/Flexible Work Arrangements can be found HERE. The policy will provide guidance, including the procedures on how to establish a flexible work arrangement.

In order for employees to request a Flexible Work Arrangement, the request form must be completed and sent directly to their immediate supervisors. The request form can be found HERE.

If the request for Flexible Work Arrangement is approved, an agreement form must be completed and signed by the employee and the supervisor. The agreement form can be found HERE. It will be placed in the employee's file.

Please note that all supervisors must go through the online training prior to approving their employees' requests for flexible work arrangements. The link to the training can be found HERE.
