Financial Aid Office

Rank and salary commensurate with degree, experience and qualifications. All reclassifications must be approved by the appropriate administrators. Several factors are taken into consideration before the reclassification, including demonstrated increased competencies appropriate to the next higher-level job, performing at a satisfactory level in their current position, and the department must have a genuine need for the higher level work.

Financial Aid Assistant

Financial Aid Assistant (Level 5; Exempt)
Bachelor's degree required.  A minimum one year of experience in the financial aid programs or customer service at a higher education setting. Working knowledge of current federal and state financial aid policies and procedures. 

Financial Aid Advisor (Level 7; Exempt)

Bachelor's degree and a minimum three years of experience in the administration of financial aid programs or related fields. Knowledge of current federal and state financial aid policies and procedures. Ability to acquire and exhibit comprehensive knowledge of complex Federal, State and University financial aid regulations, procedures and directives. Proficiency on Microsoft Office and database applications.  Ability to work with designated student databases and university financial aid systems including People Soft.
