The Division of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion continues its biweekly panel discussions on Gallaudet’s Stand Against Systemic Racism and Violence on Tuesday, July 14 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. This week’s panel, “Being the Change: A Conversation with EDI”, features three EDI staff members: Olugbenga Aina, G-’97, Director; Elvia Guillermo Aguilar, G-’03, Coordinator of Cross-Campus Multicultural and International Student Programs (CCMISP); and Alex Leffers,’93, Coordinator of LGBTQ Programs and EDI Marketing Specialist. The focus of the discussion will be on EDI’s response to our vision of inclusive excellence.
The panel will be facilitated by Dr. Elavie Ndura, Vice President, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; and Thuan Nguyen-Lakrik, ’00, Manager, Student Advocacy, Development, and Mentoring.
The Gallaudet’s Stand Against Systemic Racism and Violence series is a collaborative effort of the Anti-Racism Commitment Team (ARCT), which includes representatives from the Gallaudet Staff Council (GSC), the Faculty of Color Coalition (FoCC), and the Organization for Equity for Staff of Color (OESOC).
