All student groups at Gallaudet participate in community service.
Being part of Gallaudet means becoming aware of how you can serve and lead in your community, in the world and, in particular, for the rights of those who are deaf and hard of hearing. Faculty, staff and students will inspire you with their stories and their work to expand access and opportunities for all.
You will have many opportunities to serve through student groups and class projects. Clean up a local park, update the computer software at a local school or raise funds for communities and causes throughout the globe.
And Gallaudet is an incredible place to build your leadership skills. You can participate in any student organization, sports team or performing arts production without communication barriers. Other leadership opportunities include:
- Student Success Program Staff
- New Student Orientation Leaders
- Resident Assistants and Peer Advisors
