Academic Bowl

Our Academic Bowl class covers a huge array of academic categories, content subjects and current events topics throughout the year including Language & Literature, Math, Social Studies, Science & Technology, Deaf Studies, Popular Culture, Leisure, Sports, the Arts, and many more. Not limited to general knowledge and facts, students in this class will gain Tier 3 or the specific content vocabulary and increase reading speed.

Every year, our Academic Bowl team will compete at Gallaudet University’s South Regional Academic Bowl Competition with other 20 teams from other states. The top four teams from the regional competition will advance to the National Competition located right next to our campus, Gallaudet University.

We are hosting the South Regionals right here at MSSD this year!
