The Learning Resources Center (LRC) is the library of MSSD. With over 26,000 titles in the collection, including monographs, serials, multimedia CD-ROMs, maps, posters, vertical files, filmstrips, videotapes, kits, and sound recordings, the LRC is a valuable resource.
- Monday-Friday: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m
- Saturday, Sunday, and University-sanctioned holidays: Closed
Registration: Students must register in the LRC database before borrowing LRC resources.
Checking Out Books: Students may borrow up to 10 books at a time and they can be borrowed for four weeks. The loan periods for for other mediums such as DVDs, text books vary. The LRC will adjust due dates as necessary. If you are not sure when your books are due, please contact our librarian.
Overdue loans and lost/damaged items: As a sign of trust, the LRC does not charge overdue or lost/damaged book fees. However, students with overdue or lost/damaged items will lose their library privileges until the items are returned or replaced. Near the end of each quarter, copies of overdue notices and bills will be sent to parents/guardians. Borrowing from Gallaudet University library: Our students can borrow books from Gallaudet University Library and access their numerous online journal databases. They must be registered with the library with their ID number first.
