The LGBTQA Resource Center Coordinator's office is located in the Office of Diversity and Equity for Students (ODES) suite in Hall Memorial Building (HMB) S 141. The Coordinator is available by appointment and can be reached at lgbtqa@gallaudet.edu; students may also make appointments through Starfish on Blackboard.
The LGBTQA Resource Center library is also housed in the ODES suite along with the ODES lounge where students are welcome to get together, relax, host meetings, study, and - you got it - just hang out! LGBTQA+ and ally members of the Gallaudet University community are welcome to make use of The Hangout. The Hangout is located in HMB S 141, the ODES suite.
Getting to the lounge: from the main entrance of ODES, walk past the reception desk and straight ahead. Take a left into the first hallway. The entrance to The Hangout will be the second door on your right. Alternatively, go through the door to the hallway accessing the Interpreting Department. To enter the lounge, students will need to go through the adjacent room into the ODES suite and down the stairs. The Hangout is the first door on your left.
Lounge hours: The Hangout is open to students from 9-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Many thanks to these individuals who donated items to The Hangout and the LGBTQA Resource Center:
If you have books, posters, DVDs, magazines, or other LGBTQA-related materials you would like to donate to the LGBTQA Resource Center, please email lgbtqa@gallaudet.edu for more information.
