Welcome, Trans Bison and allies!
"Transgender" is an umbrella term that refers to all of the identities within the transgender and non-binary gender identity spectrum, including but not limited to transgender, transsexual, genderqueer, genderfluid, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and two-spirit, among other terms. In that light, the following resources are intended to be helpful for Gallaudet University students, staff, and faculty who identify as transgender or within the spectrum of trans identities.
We've collected information on policies and procedures on campus that may be of interest to you should you want to change your name and gender markers on campus records, participate in Gallaudet athletics, find gender-inclusive restrooms on campus, and more.
If you have a question that is not currently on the site, please contact us at lgbtqa@gallaudet.edu for support and information.
