The Transgender Task Force was established with the assistance and cooperation of all of the aforementioned individuals and units. Special thanks to the Gallaudet University Department of Social Work and Dr. Martha Sheriden, whose advanced-year MSW class, Practice with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Populations: Macro Interventions (SWK 752), collaborated with the LGBTQA Resource Center to get the Transgender Task Force up and running. Dr. Sheriden's students Laura Patton G-'16, Morgann Smith G-'16, Samantha Saraceno G-'16, and Nicole Wooden G-'16 assisted Task Force leadership in various ways, including helping with the planning of the first meeting, researching current practices, collecting information on best practices, and fulfilling additional responsibilities as assigned.
