The Gallaudet University Debate Team is now in its second year, and has an ambitious agenda this spring. While COVID-19 has disrupted its original schedule, the team now plans an intramural debate and panel in early March in conjunction with the Center for Democracy in Deaf America and the Center for Black Deaf Studies. It also plans to participate in the Social Justice Debate national competition at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia in April, and to host debaters from the United States Naval Academy in late April. Dr. Nancy E. Kensicki, a long-time faculty member at Gallaudet University, passed away on April 16, 2022 in Bowie, Maryland. She was 83 years old.
