Annually, during the spring, the Gallaudet Staff Council (GSC) holds its GSC staff awards where they recognize qualified Gallaudet staff members who exhibit exemplary performance, as well as go above and beyond for students, departments, peers, and/or the Gallaudet community. The four categories for the 2017-2018 academic year are as follows:
● Gallaudet Citizens Staff Award● True Buff and Blue Staff Award● Bison Sage Staff Award● Gallaudet Lifetime Achievement Staff Award
The 2016-2017 academic year winners were: Tammy Kinsler, Sam Atkinson, Kojo Amissah, and Lynda Carter, ’85.
The GSC will be accepting nominations for each category starting January 2, 2018. All nominations may come from supervisors, faculty, staff, and students. Note that when nominating someone, please choose one category. All nominations will close March 9, 2018 at 5 p.m. Winners will be announced at the Gallaudet Staff Council of Representatives meeting on March 22, 2018.
