Gallaudet’s Education Abroad and International Fellowships Office supports all students who wish to take classes, conduct research, or complete internships outside the United States. The office designs programs tailored to the unique needs and interests of the Gallaudet community and helps students find and navigate international experiences that help them develop intercultural competence and globally-relevant leadership skills.
The benefits of going abroad during an individual’s academic career are endless in the ways they enrich their experiences and depth of knowledge in an increasingly globalized world. For Gallaudet students, fulfilling the requirements of an education abroad program not only enhances their unique “Gallaudet Experience,” it helps them stand out from the competition when applying for jobs. An international learning background proves to future employers that they have the skills and know how to thrive in a diverse and multicultural environment.
Education Abroad programs, research, and internship opportunities vary from year to year. For more information about current program offerings or to apply, please visit the Education Abroad and International Fellowships website:https://abroad.gallaudet.edu/
You can read more about past student experiences on the Bison Abroad blog.
